The Role An experienced individual with a solid background in cropping and plant operation skills is invited to join an established team that plays a vital role in all aspects of the broadacre cropping cycle, including cultivation, sowing, spraying, fertilising, and harvesting. Candidates should have a minimum of a couple of years of relevant experience in cropping, along with some spraying expertise.
The modern fleet primarily features John Deere equipment, all fitted with Greenstar technology, so a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to maintain machinery and infrastructure are essential. Placing a high value on a positive attitude, this role requires someone who is enthusiastic, loyal, and passionate about agriculture, coupled with a strong desire to learn and grow within the role.
Your prospective employer is a family-owned broadacre cropping operation located east of Moree in Northern NSW, managing multiple farms covering 3,700 hectares, dedicated to a variety of crops including wheat, barley, chickpeas, canola, linseed, and sorghum. Additionally, the operation includes a small cattle herd, so staff may occasionally be involved in animal husbandry tasks.
