Job Description: Our client is seeking a Senior Stable Hand to take on a hands-on role within their prestigious thoroughbred breeding operation. Set on a stunning 2,500-acre property, the facility is home to over 300 elite broodmares and carries a strong legacy of excellence in equine care. They’re looking for a highly experienced Stable Hand to support daily horse care and farm duties as part of a skilled and dedicated team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional daily care and handling of horses, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
- Assist with foaling, handling young stock, and maintaining clean and safe stables
- Operate farm equipment and help with general property maintenance
- Monitor horse health, communicating with the team and veterinarians
- Uphold safety standards and follow best practices across all areas of work
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
Role Requirements:
- Experience working on a large thoroughbred stud is highly regarded
- Prior experience in horse handling or farm work is essential
- Physically fit, with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
- Valid driver’s licence highly regarded
