We are planting and maintaining native trees along Wilsons creek (approx. 25 mins drive from Byron Bay)
Help would involve weeding, some planting, and mulching with wood chip.
Flexible hours, depending on your other work commitments.
The work that we are currently doing is in response to the floods of 2022, which damaged the creek ecosystem. (The postcode is listed as a disaster affected area, so work regenerating the habitat could count for the 88 Days for certain visas: 462, 417) ***Update 29May 2025 Visas have been approved for voluntary disaster recovery work on our project!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
According to Department of Home Affairs website:
“For volunteer bushfire or disaster recovery work, any day on which you worked can be counted as one day.”
