Job Description: Are you looking for a hands-on role in a progressive mixed-farming enterprise? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a 10,000-hectare operation that combines broadacre cropping, grain handling, and cattle back-grounding, with a new 2,000-head feedlot in development. Key Responsibilities:
Silo Complex:
- Grading, screening, and testing grain for clients
- Sorting grain by variety to meet quality standards
- Implementing pest control measures to maintain grain quality
- Recording tonnes in and out of storage
- Managing automated drive-over pit system for efficient grain handling
Livestock and Farming;
- Mustering and processing cattle
- Water and lick runs
- Checking and maintaining fences
- Supporting broad-acre cropping activities, including planting and harvesting
- Operating farming machinery
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in grain handling, grading, and storage
- Knowledge of broad-acre cropping operations
- Understanding of automated grain handling systems
- Strong record-keeping and inventory management skills
- Experience in cattle back-grounding and feedlot operations ( not essential)
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate farm machinery
- Experience with augers, conveyors, and elevators
