Job Description: Are you looking for a hands-on role in a progressive mixed-farming enterprise? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a 10,000-hectare operation that combines broadacre cropping, grain handling, and cattle back-grounding, with a new 2,000-head feedlot in development. We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our client’s team. This is more than just a mechanical role – it’s a true all-rounder position with variety across machinery, cropping, grain handling, and livestock. Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical repairs and servicing of tractors, harvesters, trucks, and farm machinery
- Tractor operation – planting, spraying, and harvest
- Implementing pest control measures to maintain grain quality
- Recording tonnes in and out of storage
- Managing automated drive-over pit system for efficient grain handling
- Mustering and processing cattle
- Water and lick runs
- Checking and maintaining fences
Skills & Experience:
- Mechanical trade qualification or experienced with servicing and repairing farm machinery
- Knowledge of broad-acre cropping operations
- Understanding of automated grain handling systems ( not essential)
- Experience in cattle back grounding operations (not essential)
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate farm machinery
