Job Description: Our client operates a large sheep and cattle trading operation and is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Overseer or Assistant Manager. Spread over an extensive area in the Central West region, the enterprise is based around feed off crops for cattle and a large lamb feedlot and fattening system. The client is looking for someone with proven experience in animal husbandry, livestock behaviour and feeding. Working dogs are an important part of the role.
You will need an understanding of all facets of general maintenance, though many of these tasks are done by contractors. It is a fast paced role and your hours will be dictated by the requirements of the business. The owner of the enterprise has an expectation you will work to the needs of the role and are aware of the needs of a life-work balance.

- Excellent Livestock Skills with both cattle and sheep
- An understanding of livestock nutrition requirements
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Have the ability to work on your own and with a team
- A passion for the agricultural and livestock industries
- Good working Dogs essential
Accommodation and will be provided for the successful applicant and you will have all services you require in a nearby town with access to larger centres. The client is open to your own horses and pets coming with you.
