Job Description: This role is a great opportunity for capable and reliable individuals to take on Farm Hand roles in a stable long term role in a family-owned company. Our client is a large-scale farming business with properties across NSW and QLD. There are 2 Farm Hand roles available for their broadacre row cropping operation located outside of Moree, NSW. There is a significant area of developed country where irrigated and dryland cotton and sorghum are grown, along with other seasonal cereal crops. The Farm Hands will be required to work with all things water with flood and syphon irrigation.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sound understanding of the processes involved with irrigated cotton & dryland cereals
- Be able to monitor and supervise irrigation systems – flood (bankless) & syphons
- Experience running and maintaining pump stations and water levels
- Experience in Ground Forming, Cultivating, Planting, Spraying, Picking, and other associated implements and machinery utilising John Deere equipment

- Attention to detail with preventative maintenance, servicing, upkeep, and cleanliness of tractors, machinery, and implements
- To have experience with GPS programs
- To have sound mechanical understanding and ability
- To be reliable and hard-working
- Be able to take direction and work well within a team
- Be trusted to work independently and complete tasks efficiently
This position is suited to reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for farming. The property is within driving distance to Moree where all major amenities are available. The School Bus route is easily accessible and there are various schooling options available.
