Job Description: Our client is seeking a Caretaker for their large grazing property, a family run operation, supporting approximately 1000+ head of cattle. Reporting regularly to the owners, this is an autonomous role that comes with variety.
Regular tasks:
- Water and lick run, including all maintenance and repairs
- Welding and fencing
- Garden and infrastructure maintenance
- Operate and maintain machinery
- Assist with muster and livestock processing
- Weaner education and feeding
- Reporting and maintaining of records
Requirements:
- MR truck licence (preferable)
- Ability to operate and maintain forklift, bob cat and tractors
- Livestock processing experience
- Ability to use a two wheeler/quad/buggy
- Self-starter, can work unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills, liaising with owners regularly
- Pets are negotiable, preference for no pig dogs
