Job Description: Our client, a large and progressive lamb and cattle finishing enterprise, is seeking a motivated and capable individual to oversee feedlot operations and machinery management in the Central West region of NSW.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring accurate delivery of grain and feed mixes to two feedlots and overseeing maintenance of a wide range of machinery and vehicles. A sound understanding of feedlot and feed requirements, mechanical aptitude, and strong planning abilities are essential for success in this autonomous role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute and organise grain and feed across two feedlots using a HC truck
- Maintain and manage various vehicles and agricultural machinery across the business
- Order and coordinate workshop consumables
- Maintain and organise the workshop for operational efficiency
- Travel across multiple farming properties to complete assigned tasks
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to operate tractors, augers, and feedlot machinery confidently
- HC truck licence essential and experience operating heavy vehicles preferred
